Presentation Features

Presentation files can be submitted as either Keynote® (Apple, Inc., Cupertino, CA) files or PowerPoint® (Microsoft Corp., Redmond, WA) files.  We encourage authors to create full-color slides for their Keynote/PowerPoint presentations because most RC2 readers will prefer color slides (such as the six slides appearing on the left, above).  Since they will probably be using a desktop projector to view slides, no extra expense is incurred in projecting color slides vis-a-vis black-and-white slides.

On the other hand, if authors also submit handout files, black-on-white files, arranged in a layout such that six miniaturized slides appear on one 8.5-x-11-inch page, are ideal (as shown on the right, above).  This is because, to the extent that RC2 readers wish to utilize your handouts, they generally prefer black-and-white handout files, even when a color printer is available, owing to the far higher expense incurred in generating color copies.  Handout files are not mandatory but are definitely preferred by the RC2 Editorial Board.
