Recognition | Disaster Preparedness

Recognition

California has the largest concentration of RTs in the entire world. The CSRC recognizes their accomplishments and achievements during Respiratory Care Week by selecting RCPs of the Year and RT Departments of Excellence in each of CSRC’s 6 Regions. In addition, CSRC recognizes individual RCPs, vendors and sales/support staff, and military personnel which have provided exceptional service to the Respiratory Care profession here in California.

Disaster Preparedness

Respiratory Care Practitioners are an integral part of disaster preparedness. RCPs serve at the national level on FEMA teams and in the military at the state and local levels through hospital groups or their home hospital. This includes being prepared for disasters like pandemics, earthquakes, and wildfires. AARC members which are adversely affected by disasters may be eligible for financial support from the AARC’s Disaster Relief Fund.

AARC Disaster Relief

The AARC Disaster Relief Fund was launched in 1992 to assist members who have suffered damage to their homes or other personal property as a result of federally declared natural disasters. Over the past 26 years, the fund has been activated to help members who’ve lost property due to hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, earthquakes, and fires. Once activated, members have six months to apply for a grant of up to $1,000. Click Here: https://www.aarc.org/aarc-membership/aarc-membership-benefits/aarc-disaster-relief-fund/
